Strategic Human Resource Management
Most leading companies are making efforts to employ, develop and retain talented employees by adopting soft human resource management strategies. Simultaneously, however, they are adopting hard, cost-reduction HR interventions to promote greater flexibility in their operations in the chaotic business environment. In view of these conflicting demands of business strategy, producing the requisite people behaviors, attitudes, skills and mindsets become critical for organizational success. This course focuses on linking and balancing: employer expectations; strategic HR interventions adopted by companies to meet business needs; and requisite HRM-related measures, targets and outcomes to know their business impact.
