Old Norse Mythology is visualized, performed and narrated in a variety of genres and contexts from Viking Age to the Scandinavian Middle Ages: From rune stones and material culture to myths and learned Christian treatises. This intensive course will explore Old Norse Mythology in its manifold representations with the methodology of contemporary scholarship and the course is taught by a team of international scholars from various disciplines like religion, folklore, drama, history, archaeology and literature. Course offered by Department of Aesthetic and Communication.
