This interdisciplinary course introduces you to healthcare innovation within the themes of healthy living and active aging. It covers both medical and commercial aspects of innovation, following two specific cases on diabetes and rehabilitation.

The course presents key theories, tools and concepts of healthcare innovation. You will learn how to analyze and develop solutions to some of the great healthcare challenges of our time under the guidance of leading experts and practitioners from academia and the industry from University of Copenhagen, Copenhagen Business School, Novo Nordisk, the Capital Region of Denmark and Erasmus University Rotterdam.

The course consists of two parts:

An e-learning course on the Coursera platform and multiple choice tests. The course is accessible in the spring 2018, pre-enrol here. The online course is called "Business Models for Innovative Elderly Care".
Two weeks of intensive case work on campus at the University of Copenhagen, from 6-17 August 2018

Scholarships

Novo Nordisk International Talent Programme (NNITP) offers a scholarship to incoming students from IARU universities or from Harvard University.

Application deadline is 1 April 2018. Please note that not all applicants will receive a scholarship.
