Business Ethics & Sustainability
Sustainability in business is a strategic issue for almost every organization. We firmly believe that it is rapidly gaining importance for strategic innovation, risk mitigation, reputation management and to maintain shareholder value. Ethical aspects of sustainability call for new skills and competences of managers. Sustainable business requires an understanding of the changing business landscape, and can be best understood by learning how leading organizations have put sustainability into practice.
In this Summer Course, we will look at the topics of Business Ethics, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Sustainable Business from the perspective of different stakeholder groups. This course will provide perspectives from different stakeholder groups as a way to gain an understanding of this broad topic. The teaching includes theoretical models, stories from experience, real life dilemmas and case studies of leading companies.
The modules will be structured around real cases for sustainable business, referring to the different stakeholder and functional groups:
- Stakeholder Mapping & Dilemmas
- Business Ethics, Compliance & Integrity
- Developing a CSR Strategy
- Embedding Sustainability in the company
- CSR Branding and Communications
- Sustainability in the Supply Chain
- The Role of Business in the Community
The program is especially designed for students and professionals interested in sustainability and the ethical implications of sustainability on companies and managers.
To gain a solid understanding of the different dimensions within the topic of business ethics & sustainability by learning how leading organizations have done this in practice.
