A CLIL (content and language integrated learning) methodology course for teachers and lecturers working through English in higher education (HE). The course is meant for people who would like to improve their CLIL methodology skills. Participants will refresh and improve their understanding, expertise and skills related to CLIL in higher education.

The contact hours in the course can be seen as preparation for the Cambridge certificate for teachers in bilingual education for which a follow-up online course will be offered.

Target group

Lecturers and/or teachers working in English in higher education who want to put CLIL (content and language integrated learning) methodology (more) into practice.

Course aim

- Participants expand and improve their understanding, expertise and skills related to content and language integrated learning (CLIL) in higher education;
- Participants go home with a range of practical activities for working with CLIL in higher education, particularly active learning and interactive activities for students in higher education;
- Participants are equipped with the knowledge and skills to create their own high quality CLIL education;
- Participants are equipped with the skills to develop a subject and language integrated curriculum;
- Participants have practised presentation and lecturing skills through English.
