Are you keen to build up your personal profile on the Internet, make your Facebook page more attractive or work towards becoming a professional online journalist?
This course will familiarise you with how to produce and publish multimedia stories online using text, photos, audio and video.
The emphasis will be on ‘learning by doing’ with practical exercises and assignments using simple recording and editing equipment.
You will be expected to work, both individually and in teams, towards pre-established deadlines for which effective time management and communication will be essential.

Part of the course will be conducted at the premises of RNTC in Hilversum using its professional audio/video facilities and equipment.
RNTC is the international training centre of Radio Netherlands Worldwide, the Dutch International Broadcaster (www.rntc.nl).
Preparation: do look around for examples of Multimedia Storytelling and bring them with you; think about what you expect from the course and what you hope to do as a Multimedia Storyteller.

(International) students with an interest in the (journalistic) use of new and social media to tell multimedia stories online.
This course will familiarise you with how to produce and publish multimedia stories online using text, photos, audio and video. In the course you will start to develop a compact, effective style of writing for the internet, based on journalistic principles. You will also learn how to add value to your web content by using audio/slideshows and simple video clips.
