Students on our Taste of Science and Engineering course will sample a range of disciplines at the centre of Warwick's science and engineering undergraduate offer.

Each of these subject are delivered by academics from the relevant academic department, with each department boasting top rankings, internationally recognised academics and cutting edge research.

Students will be introduced to and explore ideas beyond the typical school curriculum, so if you want to find out what it is like to study these subjects at degree level, then our Taste of Science and Engineering course may be for you!

Target group

We are delighted to offer this opportunity for students to study at the University of Warwick for an exciting ten-night Summer School which will encompass quality Warwick teaching, guest lectures and a fun social and cultural programme. Students will experience living and studying on the beautiful Warwick campus, as well as a trip to experience our amazing capital city and its top sights.

Course aim

Personal Development
During the personal development sessions, you will focus on important skills such as effective listening, note making and research skills, enabling you to get the most out of university learning experiences. The sessions will complement the academic learning so you'll get an opportunity to apply some of the new knowledge that you've learnt in an interactive way.

Preparing for Study in the UK
Each course also includes two practical sessions on 'Applying to University in the UK’ and how it all works, and a ‘Personal Statement Workshop’ to help you understand what universities are looking for and how to make the most of your statement. These sessions include question and answer opportunities with current students.

Fee info

GBP 4250: (inclusive of a £1000 deposit, required to secure place)

The fee includes accommodation for 10 nights, breakfast, dinner (evening meal), refreshments, the social programme, all academic and skills teaching, the guest lectures, travel to London and Oxford and all the activities on trips.

You will need additional money for lunch, souvenirs, any other drinks and snacks, and any shopping you may wish to do during the programme.
