Finance for a Sustainable Economy
The mission of the course is to share with students critical views on the current mainstream economic and financial model, to give convincing arguments about its exhaustion, its contradictions, and its unsustainability, and at the same time, it aims at exploring the potential that a new approach to the use of money could have to overcome the main global challenges that our society is facing, and which are mainly caused by the current economic and financial model. This new approach presented in the course is based on the alignment between social, ethical and environmental aspirations on the one hand, and on the management of economic and financial activity on the other.
