The Heidelberg Health Economics Summer School 2024 is a unique opportunity to meet thought leaders in health policy and economics, and to discuss the current challenges surrounding the use of health technology assessments (HTAs) to inform patient access and reimbursement decisions – including implications for research & development (R&D).

Target group

The Summer School has been designed to offer a high-level forum for health care decision makers, health economists, clinician scientists, and advanced PhD students (from academia, independent research institutes, and from the research-based biopharmaceutical industry), to discuss the appropriate role, current use, and limitations of
economic evaluations to inform health technology assessments (HTAs), with a view towards future improvement.
The program will be of particular interest and relevance for specialists in the fields of market access, pricing, reimbursement, clinical research and development, and early value assessment.
