The ISPD is pleased to announce its upcoming Summer Soft Diplomatic Language Courses in partnership with F9 Language School in Brussels.

Course 1 Soft Diplomatic English Course
Course 2 Soft Diplomatic French Course

The course will take place:

from 1st to 5th of July 2013, 3 hours per day or
from 3rd to 5th of July 2013, 5 hours per day (depending on the interest of registered candidates).

The course curriculum is born from the partnership of ISPD and F9 Language School, founded in 1989 by the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB), the Brussels Chamber of Commerce (BECI) and the City of Brussels, and designed exclusively for professionals in communication, Diplomats, Journalists, Public Affairs officers and MEPs.

PROGRAMME

The training will cover the following subjects:

-How to discuss your own country
-How to make an engaging speech
-How to chair a meeting
-How to formulate persuasive arguments
-How to differentiate language register
-Simulation of an international conference

LANGUAGES

The Summer Soft Diplomatic Language Course is available for English or French language, depending on the interest of registered candidates. The course will take place provided a minimum of 3 participants register for any given language (French or English). It is possible to register for both languages.

Target group

This course has been designed for those who wish to gain language skills that can be applied in the diplomatic profession. It will be of particular interest to current embassy personnel, European Union officials, university students in the fields of politics, international relations and communication/public relations, business people, journalists, event organisers and public relations representatives.

EUR 400: The course fee is 400 EUR.
EUR 350: Students enrolled on the ISPD Summer School* are being offered this course at a discounted rate of 350 EUR.

*ISPD Summer School in Protocol and Diplomacy takes place from 8th to 11th July 2013
