GAME.PLAY.DESIGN is an interdisciplinary and process based summer school course, which highlights digital games, digital game interaction and digital game design through a foundation of interdisciplinary academic fields, with academic roots in, amongst other, media studies, interaction design, experience design, learning design, aesthetics, rhetoric and experience economy.

The purpose is to gain insight into being able to discuss, critically reflect and productively apply humanistic subject traditions into one’s own competences, in order to strengthen them in relation to digital games as a phenomenon, praxis and design. By doing so, it brings into play the particular humanistic, theoretical, analytical, methodological and product-oriented subject competences, which the individual student possesses and in the process also helps the entire group, in addition to it developing and highlighting one’s own competences.
EUR 0: Students on a bilateral exchange programme do not have to pay. Freemovers are obliged to pay participation fees while tuition fees only apply to freemovers from countries outside the EU/EEA/Switzerland.
