During the first week you will explore the business case for creativity in the workplace. You will work in teams to solve simple design problems, and experiment with approaches to design thinking which are likely to be new to you.

During the second week of the course you will begin to develop a personal project, supported by lectures on marketing and how to launch a new product or service. And in the final week you will explore presentation skills so that, upon completing the course, you will have a project that demonstrates your awareness of design, marketing, branding and business thinking, which you can present in teams to your tutors and fellow students.

Course leader

This course is led by tutors from the Nottingham Business School and NTU's product design department.

Target group

This course is aimed at business and marketing students from around the world who wish to enhance their employability by combining creative thinking and design skills with branding and market research.

Course aim

Being ahead of the competition and standing out from the crowd is essential in today's business world. So is being able to demonstrate creativity. These skills are very sought after by employers, and so being able to demonstrate these will reinforce competitiveness in the job market.

Credits info

7.5 ECTS
Upon successful completion you will receive a certificate of attendance. If you wish to receive credit you will need to arrange this with your faculty at home before you attend. NTU can supply module specifications to assist in calculating a credit equivalency.

GBP 2075: The fee covers the tuition, most materials, course-related travel and accommodation on campus.
