Spanish Intermediate Summer Course
•The language of instruction is Spanish.
•The target level of proficiency is B1 according to the Common European Framework.
•After this course you can participate in Spanish: Improving Fluency or Spanish: Improving All Skills.
•After this course you can take the examen DELE of the Instituto Cervantes, DELE B1, an internationally recognized certificate at B1 level. This exam will take place in November 2016 at Tilburg University or Instituto Cervantes in Utrecht.
•This course has an 80% attendance requirement.
•The Language Center reserves the right to cancel the course should enrolment numbers prove to be insufficient.

All people who are interested in Spanish speaking countries.
By the end of the course, participants are assumed (at level B1 of the Common European Framework) to be able to:
•Write a simple text or personal letter in which spelling, accents, and punctuation are used properly, and in which grammar and vocabulary appropriately.
•Comprehend descriptive, functional texts and informative practical texts of a more detailed nature, and be able to grasp the intentions of the writer and identify the nuances of the language used.
•Understand a native speaker of Spanish in conversation, even if the topic is outside of the participant’s direct realm of experience. It is also assumed that course participants will be able to comprehend more formal texts, and be able to discern the writer's intent.
Conduct longer and more complex conversations and discussions in Spanish in which they are able to clearly express and defend their opinions. Pronunciation is at a level where it is possible to understand what is being said without effort.
EUR 390: The course fee is € 390 or 6 Language Vouchers for Tilburg University students.
Students can pay with their language vouchers. Each voucher is worth € 65, so if you do not have enough vouchers left, you can pay the remaining vouchers for € 65 per voucher.
•€ 410 for Tilburg University employees and alumni.
•€ 450 for external participants (including prospective students). For prospective students, it is possible to exchange language vouchers afterwards when you start studying at Tilburg University. Each voucher is worth € 65, so you can get a maximum amount of € 390 back.
In addition: all participants must pay a participation fee of € 70 to facilitate the summer school.
