The main purpose is to broaden the students’ business understanding by giving them knowledge about entrepreneurship and enabling them to acquire skills in relation to accounting, finance, investment and marketing. After completing this course, you will, among other things, be able to use financial accounting methods, draw up a budget, evaluate a market’s competitive situation, and describe a company’s marketing mix.
The course is mainly practical, but class sessions will comprise a mixture of lectures, group assignments, student presentations, case studies and problem solving.
The students will be asked to identify a business opportunity and in groups found an imaginary business company. During the course the students will be asked to relate the learned theory and apply the learned skills to their company.
Every session is designed to meet different leaning styles with a variation between theoretical oriented lectures and practical assignments.
