The purpose of this course is to obtain a profound knowledge of and practical skills in web development. You will learn how to create a website in Hypertext Markup Language (HTML5), and how to style your webpages using Cascading Style Sheets (CSS3). You will learn about responsive web design. How to create websites that are platform independent, and how to create “smart” web sites using jQuery and Twitter Bootstrap.
The main purpose of the course is to introduce a set of theories, tools and practicable methods in order to obtain a profound knowledge as well as practical skills of web development. Students will also be trained in creating web sites running on a pc and mobile devices using basic web programming and design combined with jQuery.
