Our Oxford summer school course covers any aspect of geography that you are interested in; there are options to take human geography or natural geography and focus on specific areas you wish to gain a deeper understanding of.
You will be taught by Oxford University tutors in authentic university-style tutorials. You will be given one hour-long tutorial a week as part of this course. This will be a one-on-one discussion with one of our expert tutors, and the tutorial will focus on a piece of submitted work which you have prepared (either an essay or a problem sheet).
In addition to this, you will be provided with two hour-long classes per week, which will be discussions with your fellow students and tutor(s) over selected texts or articles which you will be expected to have read.
There is also a series of minor subjects for which a lecture series will be provided. There may also be some preparatory reading required for these minor subjects; more information, as well as PDFs of the texts, will be provided prior to the commencement of the course.
Our Leadership Series of lectures will further equip you with the social and organisational skills to take your knowledge out into the real world and apply it practically.
