Healthcare & Technology
In this module students will acquire basic understanding and knowledge of a selection of key topics in Healthcare Technology including the basics of medical imaging, medical simulation and medical robotics. The module also aims to give students practical experience of each of the mentioned topics and an awareness of the historical developments in Healthcare Technology over the last 100 years. This module is aimed at students from a range of backgrounds including those studying medicine, biomedical sciences, biomedical engineering, dentistry, natural sciences, nursing and other subjects allied to healthcare.

This module is suited to students and/or professionals from different backgrounds with an interest in international energy politics and energy-related environmental politics. It is suitable for students from all backgrounds.
• Students should be able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of key topics in Healthcare Technology, including the basics of medical imaging, medical simulation and medical robotics.
• Students will also be able to demonstrate an understanding of the practical applications of these topics and this will be achieved through the practical programme that accompany each topic.
Many of our students get credit for the summer modules taken at King’s. You should approach your home university before applying as it is up to them to apply the credit to your degree programme. We would recommend a three week module would be equivalent to 3-4 US credits or 7.5 ECTS.
