The 2016 EISS guest faculty includes, amongst others, Derek Beach (University of Århus), Federica C. Bicchi (London School of Economics), Dermot Hodson (University of London), Simona Piattoni (University of Trento), Claudio M. Radaelli (University of Exeter), Frank Schimmelfennig (ETH Zürich), Esther Versluis (Maastricht University) and Jonathan Zeitlin (University of Amsterdam).

EISS provides an in-depth specialization in European Integration and Governance. It is organized in two Master-level courses in the summer, and a web-based course offered during the fall semester.

Target group

Completed bachelors degree of 180 ECTS in order to qualify. Some outstanding upper-level BA students from partner universities of the University of Agder may be considered on an exceptional basis for the two summer courses. However, BA students have to be enrolled as exchange students through their home institutions.

Course aim

Drawing on sound methodological and interdisciplinary approaches, this European Integration Summer School (EISS) will allow you to deepen your knowledge on a wide range of issues pertaining to European integration, thus adding an international dimension to your specific field of training (e.g. in law, public administration or economics). If you aspire for a career in business or public administration and will be exposed to Europe and the European Union, then you are most certainly going to benefit from our Summer School.
