The aim of this summer school on "elaboration and characterization of multistructured materials" (ECMM 2017) is intended to multidisciplinary scientific community with enhanced exchanges between high level senior scientists, young researchers and industrial partners. It is an opportunity to give a global overview of elaboration and multiscale characterization of complex materials found in many domains (civil engineering, aeronautics, energy, nano-materials, cosmetic, foods, living world for a few examples) at the frontier of several disciplines (physics, chemistry, biology, applied mathematics, chemical engineering…).


The summer school will focus on elaboration as well as study at different scales of thermo-mechanical properties and structure of complex multi-component systems from polymers, colloids, nanoparticles, dispersed media, nanocomposites, with some degree of self-organization, a high sensitivity to external fields and specific dynamical properties.
