The ability to negotiate effectively is an important skill in business. This course, taught by a US professor from the University of Michigan, emphasizes negotiation strategies and skills that will enable you to successfully negotiate business transactions and resolve disputes. Among the specific topics in the course are cross-cultural negotiation, legal and ethical guidelines for negotiation, and psychological tools that increase your negotiation effectiveness.

Course leader

George Siedel, PhD, a professor of Negotiation and Dispute Resolution at the Ross Business School at the University of Michigan (USA) and also teaches short versions of the course in Executive MBA and Executive Education programs around the world.

EUR 650: PROGRAM FEE INCLUDES:

Academics:

- Guest lectures: mediation & the cultural business environment in Croatia

Company visits:
- US Embassy, Startup IT company, Local winery, Manufacturing plant (ie. coffee factory), Fast moving consumer goods company, etc.

Food:
- lunch meals Mon-Sat
- welcome dinner
- farewell dinner

Trips/Excursions:
- weekend excursion to the Croatian coastal city of Zadar (incl. overnight stay)
- sightseeing at Plitvice Lakes National Park

Other activities:
- walking tour of Zagreb
- transportation to/from ZSEM campus & companies from the city center

Day 1 - Sunday 20th, August
- Arrival to Zagreb
- Welcome dinner with the entire group to introduce the program to students

Day 2 - Monday 21st, August
- Company visit: Manufacturing (Coffee factory)
- Lunch at ZSEM

- Social activity (optional)

Day 3 - Tuesday 22nd, August

- Lunch at winery
- Company visit: Winery
- Class: ''Croatian Business Culture''

- Tour of Varaždin baroque town; return in later evening

Day 4 – Wednesday 23rd, August
