ORCA User Meeting 2016

when 27 September 2017 - 29 September 2017
language English
duration 1 week
fee EUR 80

Our software-program ORCA is a flexible, efficient and easy-to-use general purpose tool for quantum chemistry with specific emphasis on spectroscopic properties of open-shell molecules.

The ORCA program package by now has a vastly increasing user community worldwide. In order to facilitate discussion between developers, contributors and users we organized the first ORCA Users Meeting in 2015.

The 3rd ORCA User Meeting is supposed to be a forum for all users ranging from new users just starting in quantum chemistry up to experienced users who would like to discuss details and learn about algorithms.

The school will again feature clinics covering special topics like how to converge the SCF or geometry optimizations up to how to simulate experimental spectra and obtain accurate results. A poster session is also planned so there will be plenty of time for exchange in relaxed atmosphere.

It will take place September 27th - 29th, 2017 at the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Energy Conversion in
Muelheim an der Ruhr, Germany.
