Crossing Borders in a Changing World
The 2018 Summer School at the University os Mannheim's School of Humanities is focused on crossing borders in a changing world. Students can choose from five classes taught by renowned academics from all around the world, providing transmedial perspectives on concepts of borders not only in a gepgraphical sense. Classes are carefully selected and represent various disciplines of the humanities, ranging from cultural studies to literary analysis as well as media and film studies. All courses are taught in English and students can earn up to 6ECTS per course.

Course aim
Our Summer School creates an opportunity for students to engage in a thought-provoking learning experience approaching the concept of 'Crossing Borders' from different angles. Our teachers are well known professors from different parts of the world and our truly international student body allows for an intensive intercultural experience. We offer high-level academia complemented by a wide variety of leisure activities and excursions to attractive destinations around Mannheim.

Students can choose up to two classes each worth up to 6 ECTS.
Fee info
EUR 110: The administrative fee includes registration, a Transcript of Records, support in finding accomodation, a Welcome Reception, a Farewell Barbecue, several leisure activities and excursions during the three week program.
EUR 70: Additional fee per class. Students can take up to two classes.
