The ExperiencEd module allows students to add a professional development, internship, work experience or research project experience of their choosing to selected academic Summer School courses. Following the structure of the University of Edinburgh’s innovative SLICC (Student-Led Individually Created Courses) programme, students can plan their own experience to expand their learning and build on their transferable skills.
You will receive help to prepare for the ExperiencEd module from our specialist support team. This will usually take place during the academic component of your course.
The team will also support you throughout the module, providing guidance and feedback
You can currently add the ExperiencEd module to these courses:
-Business in the Arts
-Film Studies and the Edinburgh International Film Festival
-Learning Across the Curriculum: On Foot through Edinburgh
-Global Issues of Corporate Social Responsibility and Governance
-Introduction to Learning for Sustainability
-Investment, Securities, and Psychology of Finance
-Filmosophy: Film and Philosophy
By the end of this module, you should be able to:
-Draw on and apply relevant skills and attributes (academic, professional and/or personal) in order to engage effectively with your ExperiencEd project
-Evaluate and critically reflect upon your approach, learning and development throughout the ExperienceEd project.
-Demonstrate how you have used experiences during the ExperiencEd module to actively explore their mindset in their chosen area.
10 credits/5 ECTS /2 US
GBP 0: Would be taken as a module within additional programme. Accommodation is not included in the course fees
