This course will introduce you to the Humanities and how they are studied at University level. Subjects that will be covered will include History, Literature, Film, and Philosophy, giving you the chance to explore and stimulate your own interests in range of topics, giving you the ability to compare and contrast research and study in different areas developing study skills that are both interdisciplinary and inter-textual.

Target group

High school students in their penultimate or final year and are interested in attending university to study a subject in the Humanities. This course will also appeal to students who have not yet decided on their university study but would like a taster experience of studying at university level.

Course aim

To enable students to develop an advanced interest in the Humanities and its sub disciplines and have had the opportunity to study Humanities and its subdisciplines.
Consider and respond to the human condition through humanities-based academic study.
