The Possibility of Realizing Gender Justice

when 17 July 2017 - 28 July 2017
language English
duration 2 weeks
fee EUR 650

Worldwide people suffer the harsh consequences of conflict-related sexual violence and human trafficking. Thousands of men, women and children are raped or forced into sexual slavery in conflict-situations, and are coerced by human traffickers into exploitative practices. Both crimes affect the physical integrity and cause gender inequality worldwide. In addressing these crimes, a contribution is made to remedy this injustice.

The course looks into the opportunities and challenges in addressing conflict-related sexual violence and human trafficking. The goal is to critically assess whether the current approaches to address both crimes are effectively contributing to realizing gender justice, i.e. a world where everyone enjoys rights equally.
