The eseia International Summer School 2017 “Balancing of bio-resources and energy production” aims to cover fundamental aspects and to reveal solutions in the quest for innovations in the biorefinery framework converting underexplored biomass into biofuels and bio-chemicals. Think out of the box when developing your career on any topics relating to biorefinery, biomass and bioresource chain management with University of Zagreb and eseia experts. Special focus is given on hands-on experience conferred through multidisciplinary case studies, group work and technical site visits. The ISS 2017 is organized by eseia with support of the University of Zagreb. The summer school will take place in Dubrovnik, one of the most beautiful cities in Croatia.

Course aim

The aim of the ISS is to cover fundamental aspects and to reveal solutions in the quest for innovations in the biorefinery framework converting underexplored biomass into biofuels and bio-chemicals. You will receive insights from top scientists and practitioners in
various angles that will help you in your professional growth, and you can enhance your own project ideas by using cutting edge tools, interactive sessions, expert consultations and professional visits.

The ISS has the equivalent of 2 ECTS, 38 hours sessions, project preparation and follow-up.

Fee info

EUR 620: The fee covers the lectures, board and lodging. Costs and organisation of arrival and departure is in the responsibility of the participants.
