During the course students will be exposed to research methods and state of the art medical technologies and devices in different medical fields, meet international researchers and interact with international students in an intercultural and interdisciplinary context.


Researchers from different universities will interact on selected topics:

From gene to clinical application
Beyond genes: epigenetics and environment
From chemistry to clinical trials
Informatics and medicine

Sessions:

Fetal programming
Nanomedicine
Medical Informatics / bioinformatics / metabolomics
Fertility preservation
Microcirculation and vascular diseases
Immune deficiency
Neurodegenerative diseases
Vaccination: blessing or curse?
Experimental surgery

Lectures from international researchers followed by questions and answers sessions,

Workshops organized with small groups of students,

Oral presentations by students on selected topics,

Visits of research institutions.

Target group

The program is open to students who have completed two years of Medicine/Biological Sciences/Pharmacy/Veterinary/Midwifery and who may be interested in pursuing an M.D., M.D. /Ph.D. or Ph.D. program and envision a career in scientific and/or medical research.

Course aim

The purpose is to give students the opportunity to be exposed to medical research in an academic environment and to facilitate their access to advanced degrees such as MD or Pharmacy/PhD programs.

Fee info

EUR 1000: Student: €900.00 tuition fees + €100.00 application fees.

Application fees are waived for students from partner universities.
EUR 1200: Professional: €1,100.00 tuition fees + €100.00 application fees.


Fees include welcoming and teaching materials, accommodation, coffee breaks and weekday lunches, social activities, bike rental and transport pass, all costs (transport, meals, entrance tickets) related to the scientific visits.
