Tourism Economics is the study of economic actions of individuals and well defined groups of individuals in the tourism field. The fundamental economic principles as they apply to the tourism industry and explore
the impacts of leisure and tourism on regional and national economics are examined and analyzed.

The objective of the course is to give students a theoretical economic background for a better
understanding of international tourism which they can use for analyzing and solving problems
in the real world.
Course aim is to develop studentsβ understanding of the tourism economics in both micro and macroeconomic perspectives to enhance their skills in taking decisions on tourism business and in analyzing tourism business environment. The course gives students a thorough understanding of the impact that travel & tourism have on economics given a set of conditions; It places primary emphasis on what affects tourism demand and what is the structure of tourism supply; Empirical evidence of tourism demand is analyzed and represented; It discusses a connection between tourism and environment, what a sustainable tourism is and how tourism may serve as a means to achieve desired economic environment.
Fee
200 EUR, The course fee includes: β’ the application fee and necessary study materials; β’ free internet access on campus; β’ access to library from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm; β’ free SIM card; β’ cultural and social activities: city tour/excursion. The course fee does not include: β’ accommodation; β’ food; β’ transportation; β’ insurance; β’ personal expenses.
