During this 14-day, you will receive course and participate in exciting workshops offered by the Electrical and Electronics Engineering school (ENSEIRB-MATMECA) of Bordeaux INP. The course also includes visits of Bordeaux, St Emilion (wine region) and Bassin d’Arcachon (bay close to the Atlantic ocean).

Course leader

The objective of the training is to design and make his own connected object using LPWAN LoRa technology.

Target group

Bachelor and master students are welcome.

Course aim

This training is divided into two parts:
1. Lectures are provided on the current trends of LPWAN technologies, PCB design, and the Arduino programming. Courses on 3D printing and laser cutting are also planned to package the electronics of the object in a DIY study case.
2. A set of hardware and software are provided to you. Now, we design the connected object ! We do it right in the heart of Bordeaux INP Fablab called “Eirlab” (website if English) where all the hardware and software you are looking for are available. You will be accompanied throughout this realization by a team of experts.

Training is provided by experts in IoT technologies, circuit design, programming in C / C ++ and 3D printing.

After completion, a gateway will be offered to each participant so that their connected object can be used when back home. If they want, the participants can share information collected by their IoT to stay “connected” with their international mates.
