The Engaging Conflict Summer School is designed to equip committed students, early-career researchers and professionals with advanced tools to critically understand conflict and tackle it as a dynamic reality. Engaging Conflict’s faculty draws from a unique spectrum of expertise to train a select group of participants in assessing the complexity of conflict and post-conflict scenarios, and evaluating the relevance and impact of different policy choices or normative standings, from non-intervention to conflict prevention.

Activities are not limited to lectures, as workshops, seminars and roleplays complete the schedule. In addition, specifically designed thematic conversations will offer participants the opportunity to interact with scholars and practitioners alike in an informal environment.

Target group

Classes are limited to 25 participants, English proficiency is required, and international applications are welcome. Ideal candidates are highly motivated sudents and practitioners in conflict-related fields.

Credits info

Participants who successfully complete the Summer School (i.e. participate to a minimum of 54 hours of lectures/seminars and pass the final exam) are awarded an official certification jointly released by the Department of Cultures, Politics and Society of the University of Turin and the Torino World Affairs Institute (T.wai).
MA Scienze Internazionali of the University of Turin recognizes 6 CFU as "Altre attività" to students successfully completing the program. The School staff will be open to consider requirements of other universities and provide the required documentation in order to allow the student to obtain an official recognition for this activity.

Fee info

EUR 650: Tuition fees are 650€ (VAT included). This amount covers tuition, working materials and three social events (welcome aperitif, alumni night and farewell dinner).

Scholarships
