Summer School in Ontology
The school valorises the unavoidable pursuit of ontology, foregrounding the debate on this classical philosophical question. The school does not intend to endorse one particular approach to ontology; on the contrary it gathers what we consider to be some of the most interesting contemporary philosophical perspectives. The speakers of the 2018 edition will address the question of ontology from different perspectives such as theology, naturalism, and poststructuralism.
The summer school in ontology was inaugurated in 2015 and hosted key figures of contemporary philosophy such as Giorgio Agamben, Francesco Berto, Ray Brassier, Marc De Kesel, Félix Duque, François Laruelle, Paul Livingston, Graham Priest, Sergei Prozorov, Claude Romano, Davide Tarizzo, and Alenka Zupančič.
