when 2 August 2021 - 6 August 2021
language English
duration 1 week
fee EUR 380

The use of educational robotics as a teaching/learning tool encourages students in guided discovery, and in problem-solving. Students get used to working in groups, solving problems, finding solutions, and verifying the results. In Many European schools Technology, Computer Science and Programming/Coding are beginning to appear in curricula, creating increasing demands upon teachers at all levels from primary level education to upper secondary school and beyond.

This course aims to help teachers understand the potential of using Robotics in education in order to engage their students more. General information and pedagogical methods will be coupled with hands on practical sessions

Throughout the course, participants will have time to reflect on how the tools and practices being introduced can be embedded successfully in their classroom.

The purpose of the course is helping teachers learn how to design and implement science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) lessons using robotics. The need to prepare students with twenty-first-century skills through STEM-related teaching is strong as properly taught classes in robotics are having a significant impact on the development of mathematical literacy and scientific-technical information and social competences.
