A series of masterclasses will provide you with the opportunity to engage with and learn from research leads and/or their team members in specialist areas related to healthcare research. The sessions will provide you with a lens on the range of approaches undertaken to answer current research questions to inform and improve healthcare provision and care, using examples of recent and current research. Each masterclass is designed to run over approximately 2 hours, will be interactive and provide you with relevant resources and materials.

What does the Summer School have to offer for you?

The Health Services Research Summer School offers participants a unique opportunity to gain access to internationally renowned experts in a range of topic areas, including complex interventions and their evaluation (including clinical trials); realist synthesis and evaluation; health economics, implementation, ageing and dementia, primary care, language awareness and the service user perspective.
The opportunity to present your research in the form of a 10 minute presentation (powerpoint, oral or poster) and further 5 minutes of questions from other delegates.

Postgraduate research students/early career researchers who wish to access expert support in healthcare research and methodology

Current Masters level/ PhD student or healthcare practitioners who wish to develop additional research skills and gain new insights into subject-specific research and methodology

Course aim

Fee info

GBP 0: This price includes the full 5 days of the Summer School masterclasses which cover a range of health research topics, accomodation and refreshments in breaks. Mid week there will also be an afternoon trip spent enjoying local culture and a meal which will include delegates of the summer school and leaders of the masterclasses. You will also have the opportunity to present your work to your peers and gain feedback. At the end of the summer school you will recieve a certificate of attendance. You can also book individual days seperately on our online shop (see link to our website)
