Database Design

The students will study the following topics: design of databases and tables; manipulating with data by using the insert, update, delete and select statements; Relations; Filtering, sorting data and grouping data; loops and branches; Subqueries; Design of functions, stored procedures, views, indexes, cursors, triggers; Transactions; Backup, restore, import and export of databases.

Course aim

The purpose of this discipline is to teach students the Transact-SQL Language of SQL Server, data processing and modification, database design for objects, normalization of tables, design of functions, stored procedures, indexes, views, transactions, cursors and triggers.
