Competition policy
In this course we focus on the main regulation and competition policies, that apply to multinational companies. In the first part of the course we revise the mainstream IO and competition theories, focusing on the market power of monopolies in the age of Big Data.
Then, we seek answers to the challenges which appeared with the rise of Facebook, Google and other multinational companies and try to discover what regulators can do with an antitrust problem like Google.
The course will be interactive, meaning that participants are required to form small groups and prepare for debates regarding firms’ antitrust cases. Each group will represent different parties and debate over the given topic.
