Our UK Legal Work Experience course is a residential week-long curriculum designed to give students the best possible insight into working life as a Lawyer in the UK legal system. Featuring teaching from qualified legal professionals this course allows students to take the role of both a solicitor and barrister through the week.

Combined with expert university application and careers advice, this course will leave students ready to begin their career in the legal profession! Based in the vibrant capital city of London, home to the highest law courts in the UK, the course also affords students the chance to immerse themselves in British culture.

Course leader

UK based Solicitors, Barristers and Law Students.

Target group

Students aged 16 or over who are either set on becoming a lawyer or would simply like to learn more about day to day life working in the legal profession. We accept students of any nationality on this course.

Course aim

By the end of this course students will:


Gain insight into the working life of solicitors and barristers

Learn which legal career path suits you best

Learn how to conduct legal interviews

Develop legal skills to use in court cases

Improve public speaking and analytical skills

Be able to reflect on your own performance within a teamwork role

Have a deeper understanding of the Solicitors Qualifying Exam and the Future Bar Training Scheme

Understand the different university career paths to a career in law

Develop a framework for choosing the right university course and training pathway for you

Gain hands on experience of a variety of legal skills
