The Faroe Islands are a natural laboratory to study the geological evolution of the Northeast Atlantic, including aspects of:
Plate tectonics
Basin formation
Volcanism
Natural resources
Environmental change
Glacial processes
Geotechnical aspects.
The many different topics make it ideally suited for a multidisciplinary group of participants. The course is targeted to geoscientists as well as other natural sciences and engineering students who have some geological background.
