Site-Specific Audio Drama
Site-specific Audio Drama is a multidisciplinary course focusing on sound and fiction, with a particular focus on spatial elements in site-specific audio productions.
The purpose of the site-specific perspective is to focus on the potential of audio media in particular to communicate narratives on a spatial level, as well as temporally.
The course is practice-based and the focal point will be the production of small audio dramas, which will provide basic insights into the particular challenges associated with sound production, both on a theoretical, a production technical and an auditory aesthetic level.
The students will become acquainted with the whole process from idea generation to screenwriting, actor instruction, recording, sound design, music, montage, and final presentation.
