Global Players and Hidden Champions: Business and Technology Made in Germany
The Summer University Lingen (SUL) takes a look at the backbone of Germany’s economy: family-owned, medium-sized companies, the so-called "Mittelstand". The goal of the programme is to analyse the key success factors of those "Mittelstand" companies and to gain insight into their operations and management features. A unique feature of the SUL is the practical aspect: you will visit small and medium-sized as well as family-owned companies in order to directly apply what you have learned in class. You will thus gain comprehensive insight into the regional, international and global procedures of companies in Germany, the city of Lingen and its surrounding area. The two-week programme is taught in English and is open to German and international students currently enrolled in a degree programme. Various activities, cultural events and a weekend trip to Berlin complete this programme.
The SUL is offered by the Faculty of Management, Culture and Technology at Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences. The programme will take place in the city of Lingen.
