Engineering - Bioresource Technology for Fuel and Sustainability (cancelled)online course
Due to the covid-19 outbreak, this course has been cancelled for 2020.
The aim of this course is to enable the student to have fundamental understanding of bioenergy production processes adequate to diverse biomass characteristics and to introduce state-of-the-art technologies of 2nd generation biofuels from sustainable bioresources. This course will provide a comprehensive and balanced approach to bioenergy production fundamental theories and industrial application.
During the course, the student will learn about biomasses conversion fundamentals for bioenergy production; important physio- and biochemical characteristics of biomasses affecting production process and energy yields; and process biochemistry and operation conditions. Moreover, the student will learn to employ this knowledge to design an entire biogas plant process and optimize operation.
Finally, the student will learn to conduct methane potential analysis of waste biomasses and will attain knowledge about energy potentials of a broad spectrum of biomasses.

You must have completed at least two years of studies in chemical engineering, environmental engineering or environmental science.
By the end of the course the student should:
Have a comprehensive and balanced approach to bioenergy production from different biomasses
Ability to conduct methane potential tests of waste biomass
Ability to implement new biomasses to bio-energy production
EUR 0: Exchange students from a partner university pay no tuition. Guest students pay tuition fees.
NON-EU student: 8635 DKK per course (1160 Euro)
EU Students: 4250 DKK per course (570 Euro)
