Cognitive Neuroscience
online courseCognitive neuroscience is an emerging interdisciplinary field of study related to the neural substrate of mental processes. It is at the intersection of cognitive psychology, neuropsychology, and neuroscience, combining theories of cognitive psychology with modern neuroscience methodologies. The course introduces basic neuroanatomy, functional imaging techniques, and behavioural measures of cognition, and discusses methods by which inferences about the brain bases of cognition are made. We consider evidence from patients with neurological diseases and from normal human participants.
