A basic understanding of business concepts can serve you well in any career.
Learning the fundamental aspects of business is essential for better understanding the world of work.
In this course we will touch upon the internal structure of a business, but we’ll also cover the essential skills in business such as how to lead or work in a team, market a product, and evaluate the financial situation of a company.
The course presents a wealth of essential business knowledge.
It will provide a comprehensive overview of all key areas of business so that students may appreciate the best ways to work in organizations. Regardless of a your academic background or career ambitions, a knowledge of the business concepts we teach in this course can help you land your dream job and provide you with a set of invaluable tools to help you scale the career ladder as quickly as possible.
This interactive course teaches students the basics of business through simulations, games, films, and in-class team assignments.
The course will address the following topics:
• The business environment
• How to structure a business
• Business management
• How to motivate, lead, and work in a team.
• The ins and outs of human resources
• The main principles of marketing (branding, pricing, promotion)
• Finances and accounting

Target group

This course is intended for Bachelor’s students from all educational disciplines and all years of study, but Master’s students interested in learning the basics of business are also invited to sign up.

Course aim

After completing the course, you will be able to:

Discuss the differences and relationships between different areas of a business.
Solve practical business problems (e.g., how to organise a business, lead employees, market a product, and assess the financial health of a company).
Present solutions to problems for various audiences through both text and speech.

EUR 650: The tuition fee of a two-week course depends on your situation and ranges from €650-950. This tuition fee includes:
- Two week course;

- Transcript of records with a maximum of 3 ECTS (European study credits);
- Certificate of attendance after completing the course;
- Individual/group guidance from professor;
- Interactive classes;
- Full support from the summer school team;
