Our Spanish summer courses aim to provide you with the essential grammar and necessary language aspects according to your level (basic, independent or proficient), as well as to immerse yourself in the Spanish culture. What is learning a language without reference to its community? In this course, you will enhance your communicative skills while you get in touch with the southern Spanish socio-cultural context in Almeria!
Compared to other courses in Spanish, our courses make it the other way round (or as we say in Span, “le damos la vuelta a la tortilla”): the cultural contents are the starting point for grammar and linguistic explanations, and not vice versa. First culture, then grammar!

Target group
Undergraduated, master, and PhD students who wants to learn Spanish as a foreign language
Course aim
1. Progress in the acquisition of the communicative competence.
2. Awaken the interest in the knowledge of the people and the villages.
3. Acquire the four skills in an integrated way.
4. Know the multiculturalism of the language.
5. Correct the most common mistakes of the Spanish learners when it comes to pronouncing the sounds of the Spanish language.
6. Utilise the oral and written language oral adequately at the corresponding level according to CEFR.
7. Participate dynamically in speeches such as dialogues, interviews, expression of opinions, comments, and others that allow them to develop their oral production.
8. Train the writing skill by means of a series of exercises that can be individual, in groups, inside or outside the classroom.
9. Provide the student with the typical characteristics that define our identity through not only daily life aspects but also historical events, great Spanish leading figures and some works of art.
10. Have a good command of the structures for both the comprehension and expression
