Ancient Languages Academy
Forty hours of intensive lessons (5h / day) will allow beginners to get off to a good start and at other levels to maintain knowledge that is sometimes insufficiently mobilized.
This summer 2021, specialists - academics and members of the CNRS - will provide courses in Biblical Hebrew, Ancient Greek, Latin, Literary Arabic, Akkadian, Sanskrit and Syriac. Seven writing systems will thus be found at the meeting in Pau, from cuneiform to the Latin alphabet!
Lectures will also be offered free lectures in the evening related to some of the languages studied, as well as workshops on ancient manuscripts.
