German Language and Culture
The course "German Language and Culture" offers several classes at all language levels. The syllabus includes a variety of conversation practice and discussions, current listening and reading texts but also topics of your choice combined with modern and task-based grammar training. Specific study techniques such as reading strategies or presentation skills will also be practiced. The morning course consists of a total of 72 (18 x 4) hours. The morning course can be complemented by individual practice at the modern language laboratory and by attending exercise courses, seminars and lectures in the afternoons. Day trips to the Black Forest and the Alsace Region of France are offered in addition to a varied program in and around Freiburg, organized by our dedicated student tutors.
Course leader
All our German language teachers are highly qualified, experienced and native speakers.
Target group
This course is aimed at students who are interested in expanding their knowledge of the German language in daily lessons on an academic level.

Credits info
4 EC
Up to 7 ECTS credit points can be issued by daily practice at the modern Language Lab and by attending exercise courses, seminars and lectures in the afternoons.
Fee info
EUR 650: The course fee includes learning materials, access to the university PC pools and internet as well as leisure activities.
EUR 350: Single rooms in student dormitories or in shared private flats in Freiburg may be arranged upon request.
Scholarships
Reduced fee for ERASMUS students.
