Lessons focus on a practical use of Czech in ordinary, daily situations
focus on practicing correct pronunciation of Czech speech sounds, speaking, writing, reading, and listening

At the end of the course, I will:
be able to describe where and how I live
be able to communicate at the doctor’s (e.g. to describe my health problems in simple sentences)
know the parts of the human body
be able to give directions and answer questions starting with “where”?
be able to order food and drinks in restaurants and communicate in stores
be able to work with recipes

In terms of grammar, I will be able to use:
indefinite and negative pronouns and adverbs
future tense of perfect and imperfect verbs
motion verbs and their prefixes
plural nominative and accusative
singular genitive and its functions

Topics for conversation:
a man’s home is his castle
my hobbies
travelling
at the doctor’s
cooking

Length of the course
20 two-hour lessons (= 90 min)

Materials the Beginner 2 course is based on:
New Czech Step by Step (lessons 7-13), Čeština pro cizince (selected chapters), materials provided by the teacher

Target group

Czech Beginner 2 course is for students who passed the Beginner 1 course or those who can use grammatical gender, conjugation, the accusative singular; very limited vocabulary, e.g. able to introduce themselves, order food and drinks in restaurants etc.; able to communicate using very simple sentences in the present and past tenses.
