The financial considerations of business organizations are examined. The finance function is explored, as well as its relationship to other decision-making areas of the firm. Students will learn concepts and techniques for planning and managing the acquisition and allocation of financial resources from the standpoint of internal management. Topics will include the goals of financial management, analysis of financial information, forecasting, debt, working capital, time value of money, cost of capital, capital budgeting, risk management, capital markets and international financial management.
