International Corporate Governance
Integrated within the Summer School Lisbon 2015 project, this course aims to enable the participants a deep and thorough discussion of fundamental topics on corporate governance practices around the world. Different governance systems will be studied and illustrated with case studies for a better understanding of implications in today’s global businesses. In addition, the participants are expected to work out the theoretical frameworks of international corporate governance in practical entrepreneurial problems solving.

Master level students.
Course aim
At the end of the course, the students are expected to:
1. Understand basic theoretical frameworks of corporate governance.
2. Explain and relate national culture and administrative systems and corporate governance systems.
3. To have a perspective and idea why on governance systems fail.
Fee info
EUR 1100: Fee includes: tuition; course materials; team-building event; Portuguese History and Culture classes; Survival Portuguese Language classes; company visit; use of the library, PC labs and ISCTE-IUL facilities; public transportation card for one month in Lisbon; organisation of leisure activities; airport pick-up service; welcome and farewell dinner.
