Lego Mindstorms EV 3 Laboratory – New Robots come to Life
*Ages 13-17*
This workshop uses the material suggested by Lego Education, to introduce robotics to students in an interesting and engaging way. Through this workshop, students will practice and develop further their problem solving skills using a project-based learning method. Students will receive a brief description of the project that they are required to build and the appropriate guidelines on how they will be able to accomplish the task that they are given. All these projects are authentic and combine the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields. The most important thing though about this workshop is that all the students will practice and develop further soft skills like teamwork, communication, collaboration and creativity. All teams will present their final project and explain the function of their robot.

Course aim
In this workshop students will learn to design a solution for a given problem as a draft hardware and software design. They will learn to implement this solution and construct a Lego Mindstorms robot. Students will learn to program basic behaviors of a robot. By the end of this workshop students will be able to design, construct program solutions for real-life problems using robots. Students will be able to test and refine their program and Lego construction.
