They will be taught, in theory and in practice, what it means to be a director, a screenwriter, a producer, an editor and a director of photography. The workshop is designed to give students hands-on experience of what it is like to be part of a film crew. For the final project, students will be split into three teams of 5 and each team will write, produce, direct and edit a short film. The screenplay of the short film has to take place at HAEF and must engage 2-3 actors max. (in collaboration with the Teen Actors Studio). Students will take turns at all the different roles in a film crew. Through this practice, students will learn how to work as a team and they will understand the actual process of filmmaking.
